8/2 – 8/4 Italian Festival at Amerigo Vespucci Lodge

The Amerigo Vespucci Lodge #160 will be holding its Annual Italian Festival on August 2, 3, & 4, 2013 on Lake Kenosia in Danbury.  This year we are privileged to be displaying from the private collection of Mr. John Hyland an exhibit of artifacts from the 9/11 Memorial.  The exhibit consists of two actual artifacts from the North Towers and three artifacts from the new Freedom Tower as well as magazines, photographs and newspapers.  The Freedom Tower is the largest building in New York City. The exhibit has been displayed in New York City, Westchester and Putnam Counties.  This will be its first appearance in Fairfield County; CT. The exhibit is smaller than the Museum but can be seen right in your backyard, Danbury, CT

In conjunction with this display, we have invited various Veterans Organizations and area Service Clubs that might be interested in setting up tables to display some of their memorabilia and artifacts of their members.  With the large number of people attending, it would also give each organization a chance to recruit new members.

This no charge event will be staged inside the Amerigo Vespucci Lodge.
